I have superior communication skills, demonstrated by my experience working in the security industry in various capacities. For example, I have worked as a Diplomatic Protection Officer at the Saudi Arabian Embassy, Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission and Singapore High Commission. In these roles I was required to communicate with a variety of people and stakeholders regarding day to day operations, including people from diverse backgrounds, government officials and foreign dignitaries who, in some cases spoke little to no English. This has helped me to develop my communicative skills to break down language barriers that could have prevented me from conversing with such a variety of people on a day to day basis.
I have a strong goal orientation, and have always strived to achieve my own personal goals in my career. Having worked as a security officer for many companies over many years I have progressed up through to the management level of supervisor or manager, demonstrating drive to succeed and further better myself on a personal and professional level. I understand the need for achieving business goals to ensure the successful operation of a company.
I have always enjoyed working with people. This is demonstrated by my past roles working in security at large public events, as well as at Diplomatic Embassies. This includes working both with the public themselves, but also working cohesively with other team members. I have also worked with people from diverse backgrounds and understand and respect the various needs of their cultural sensitivities.
I have organisational skills of a high order, have worked in both supervisory and management roles in the security industry. This including preparing rosters, implementing new rostering systems, assisting payroll, preparing weekly incident and shift reports. This was for up to teams of 30 people.
My many years of experience in supervisory and management roles in the security industry have given me an understanding of what is required to achieve both operational and business requirements. I have done this through clear and regular communication with staff and the development and implementation of standard operating procedures to effectively and efficiently cater to the client’s needs.
