Dear Manager/Employer My name is Eleanor Gibson, I am currently seekin part time or full time employment. Employment History

  • Kings Swim School

    • Mar 2013 - Sep 2013
March 2013 - September 2013 Kings Swim School (Mornington) I completed 3 days of full time training in order to gain a position at Kings Swim School. During my time at Kings, I was a casual swimming teacher. This resulted in me being in charge of swimming classes with kids ranging from the age or 2.5 - 13. The number students also vary depending on the skill level of the class. It was a very challenging job in the way that my main objective was to ensure the safety all children within my class. Secondly to that, this position was very enjoyable. I had to make sure all children were kept happy and satisfied whilst ensuring equal time was spend with each child. I also needed to be able to continually try and develop each child's skill level and have to confidence to know and work with each student individually in relation to their competency at the present time.
  • Healthy Habits (Frankston)

    • Mar 2013 - Aug 2014
March 2013 - August 2014 Healthy Habits (Frankston) I really enjoyed working and being a part of the team at Healthy Habits, Bayside. My role within this job involves; heavy lifting when unpacking orders, cooking foods (roast meals, chicken, vegetables), sandwich preparation and merchandising, coffee making, serving customers, dealing with complaints and difficult customers, cleaning, cash handling and counting as well as training new staff and ensuring business is functioning smoothly when the manager isn't present. Last year, I worked an average of 50 hours a week at Healthy Habits in order to save up enough money to pay for myself to embark on an overseas gap year adventure. I put in a lot of effort, and did my best to work as hard as I possibly could, this was shown as I was given more responsibility and was left in charge of the business most weekends. September 2014 - present The Enchanted Maze Garden (Arthurs Seat) I thoroughly enjoy my casual position at The Enchanted Maze Garden on weekends. I am given a variety of jobs within the business, this helps to ensures fairness, equality and enjoyment throughout all employed staff. Some of my duties include: ticketing, coffee preparation, kitchen and cooking tasks, online bookings, café responsibilities and working on outdoor activities to provide safety and satisfaction to customers. Work Place Experiences Peter Pan Adventure Travel Elizabeth Street, Melbourne CBD I was lucky enough to gain this work experience placement through my studies at William Angliss. My 5 weeks at Peter Pan was very valuable as I was given a variety of jobs and responsibilities. Some of these included: Phoning clients, booking accommodation and tours for clients through wholesalers, checking availability and learning their customised computer system. Ambercombie and Kent Station Pier, Port Melbourne William Angliss provided me with the opportunity to be selected to work with A&K for the cruise season in Melbourne. I thoroughly enjoyed my position here as it gave me the opportunity to learn new skills and meet many new and interesting people from all over the world. My job role was to check passengers in on embarkation day. This involved gaining clients information and scanning passports. Early morning when passengers were disembarking the ship, I assist in the luggage collection area. My personal appearance was emasculated as desired by Ambercombie and Kent.
