After 25 years of service at Telstra, in March 2013 I took the opportunity of a redundancy package. It was conscious decision on my part to take a career break and pursue other non-IT related skills. Within that time I travelled overseas, completed some further education at Monash University and worked in various casual/part-time jobs. I feel that this break has motivated a new enthusiasm leading into the next phase of my career.
In my 25 years at Telstra I have developed a proactive approach to problem solving, excellent communication skills and proven my ability to handle multiple tasks in customer environments.
Since March 2014 I was working as a Bus Driver/ Supervisor for Driver Group Australia. My experience at Driver Group allowed me to drive several type/size vehicles.
I hold a current and valid :
• HR License
• Taxi Directorate DC
• Working With Children Card
• First Aid Cert.
My extensive and varied experience in Telstra has given me excellent analytical and trouble shooting skills. I am team player, and can motivate myself to get the job done. I believe that I communicate well with people and have the ability to simplify complex concepts to get the message across. I am adaptable to change, and I am very quick learner. I am resourceful and will endeavor to learn or find out about things as quickly as possible to update my skills and knowledge relevant to the task at hand. I am loyal, committed, punctual, polite and sensitive to those around me. I feel that a good family/work balance is very important in any career. I believe that what I have to bring to this team, as an asset, is my ability to think outside the square.
