    Hatch Associates - Perth February 2014 to November 2014 QSLIC is a $1.5 billion Magnesium smelter dehydration plant project in Qinghai China. Responsible for the lower half of the Dehydration building, my key tasks were to liaise with the engineering and process disciplines on behalf of the mechanical discipline involving plant layout, modeling and validating vendor equipment within the design scope. Liaised with structural and piping disciplines to produce a safe working plant and also involved in discipline model reviews to sign off the final layout of my designated areas.

    Engenium - Perth September 2013 to February 2014 BHP Nelson Point Sample Station Project - Designer Employed to layout, model and produce arrangement drawings for the upgrade to the Nelson Point Sample station project, this included conveyors, chutes, support steelwork and piping to be incorporated into the existing plant.

Work included structural and mechanical layouts and engineering arrangements for the sub vertical headgear, various designs of conveyances, loading station bins for Winkelhaak Gold Mine. Impala Platinum - Senior Mechanical/Piping Designer Moved onto the Impala Platinum Number 14 shaft project. My tasks on this project were to layout shaft steelwork and piping/mechanical for the main pump station, loading station, shaft bottom, conveyances and overland conveyors. Columbus Stainless Steel Project - Senior Structural Designer I was then transferred to the Columbus Stainless Steel project which was a joint venture between Billiton and Anglo American. My primary task was to produce structural conceptual layouts for client approval and then arrangement and detail drawings for the construction of the hot strip and plate mill.

My main duties were laying out, designing, drafting and checking of underground pump chambers, bulk air cooling chambers and shaft piping on the Leeudoorn Gold Mine and Northam Platinum Mine, both deep level mines. Gencor Ltd (now BHP Billiton) September 1989 to March 1990 Received a six month contract to work on the Richards Bay Minerals titanium dune mining projects. My duties included layouts of mechanical equipment, piping, tanks, concentrators and structural steelwork for the mineral sands floating plant. Other work consisted of a feasibility study to mine the dunes of St Lucia
