A graduate with Honours in Contemporary Arts with over 9 years experience in the fashion retail and online fashion. I have worked within a popular American retail store, where my daily duties included dressing mannequins, visually displaying products through the store, creating new concepts to fit new trends and ensure products displayed are within the competitive market/ in season. Sales were generated in different ways throughout the store, such as displaying under £5 products at till points, merchandising products near focal points and within arm reach of mannequin/ window displays. I have been voted number 1 sales person within the store as i have generated 49% of store sales from my accessories/ shoe department alone. Not only have i gained experience within retail i have also gained experience online. Duties included SEO management, creating google adwords, and merchandising products to ensure a cross sale/ ad was added on all pages. Other methods of creating brand awareness was made by displaying products on ebay, amazon, website, social media and collaborating with fashion bloggers. Sales were generated by keeping up to date on trend, reviewing magento to see what products/ concepts sold the most and liaise with back with buying and merchandising team. Monthly photoshoots were created where i managed hair, makeup and wardrobe and i also managed the design team ensuring graphics, uploading of products via html/ firezilla was over checked thoroughly before going up live on the website.
