Recently, an underground Development Charge-up Operator with Barminco at MMG Dugald River Mine, QLD. I now seek opportunities to up-skill, broaden experience and knowledge, and add further value to new operations for the mutual benefit of fellow crew mates, clients, and myself.
Previously underground Magazine Keeper, Paste Crew and rigid truck operator for Byrnecut at Prominent Hill Mine, SA.
Prior redundancy late January 2016, I took an underground truck operator / nipper role at Golden Grove when my graduate mining engineering program ended simultaneous to production at Century Mine in QLD. My initial rotation at Golden Grove fulfilled requirements to qualify for WA Underground Mine Manager’s certification in the future, while Century provided equally valuable engineering exposure.
Underground experience included CHF backfill training, service crew, drill support and supervised operation, charge-up and firing. Open pit involved short-term planning (data control and reporting and operational progress analysis and design improvement); geotechnical assessment and monitoring; maintenance scheduling and rehabilitation. I’m aware of occupational health and safety issues, processes and procedures and understand the importance of safe work site practices and housekeeping in promoting safety.
I have highly developed communication, presentation and organisational skills, am socially and environmentally flexible and strive to maintain the highest ethical and professional standards. I work equally well independently or as part of a team, and seek to improve team outcomes using Project and Frontline Management tools and Team Management understanding.
I hold Working at Heights, Assist Shot Firer (Quarries and Construction), White Card and Senior First Aid certification. I also hold a WA DGSC, WA and QLD Underground Shot-firer and SA Drivers licenses, and have previously obtained national and federal police and GSDU clearances.
