In August 2017, I graduated from Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from Swinburne University of Technology. I have over 6 years of experience in office administration in the legal, not-for-profit and government sectors.
I wish to address how my previous experience demonstrates my ability to meet the specific requirements of this role.
Intermediate computer skills, including high levels of data entry speed/accuracy and previous experience in Excel: Advanced knowledge of Excel software having received a high distinction in my ‘Develop and Use Complex Spreadsheets’ university module. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office suite having received a high distinction in my ‘Design and Produce Business Documents’ university module. My average typing speed is approximately 60-70 WPM with 100% accuracy.
Strong problem solving ability: I solved problems while attending legal settlements independently.
High attention to detail and accuracy: as a settlement agent and legal administrative assistant, I exercised excellent attention to detail in my various tasks
Strong verbal and written communication skills: Articulate communicator demonstrated in my role as a settlement clerk. Previously a Kumon instructor who understands the different communication styles required when working with students and parents.
Ability to work within a team environment and take instruction: Led a group to complete and successfully implement a live Industry Consulting Project. Also received positive feedback on the individual component.
Strong time management and organisational skills: Experienced a fast paced environment with time pressures at Thomson Geer. Required to deposit bank cheques before operations closed within a tight time constraint while juggling office duties.
