Utilities/Telecommunications Supervisor job availability

  • Our client are a seeking a Utilities Supervisor for a 3 month term starting immediately

    Responsibilities

    Supervise all Technicians and Construction Partners undertaking construction works, ensuring installation is delivered on schedule and to standard.

    Communicate all work scheduling to Construction Partners.

    Ensure works are organised, pre-inspected to enable it to be completed to schedule.

    Work with workforce schedule team to manage construction partner volumes and work in progress to ensure project outputs targets are met.

    Provide on-site liaison with the public, local and regulatory authority, utilities, and other third party stakeholders.

    Ensure resource consents and road opening licenses (ROLs) have been granted and copies held by the appropriate parties on site before work commences.

    Communicate and seek appropriate authority to proceed with any variations to the resource consent or ROL before work continues.

    Requirements

    Tertiary qualification in Telecommunications

    Supervisory experience in utilities networks

    A sound ability to coordinate sites with multiple work disciplines and faces

    The ability to incorporate innovation into work processes and outputs

    Well-developed organisational skills, including written and oral communication

    A knowledge of technology and practices, including those of major customers

    A sound understanding of productivity requirements for network construction

    Strong interpersonal skills to be applied to all operational levels for internal and external relationships
