      About the role:
      Reporting to the Operations Manager, this is a key senior leadership position where you will be responsible for driving the day-to-day operational allocation and scheduling, coordination, and monitoring of all freight movements nationally and internationally. You will oversee the efficiencies within the operations via a proficient optimisation planning tool to ensure a safe, cost-effective, fast and reliable turn-around of manufactured products to the customer base. Success will be dependent on your strong leadership ability, focus on customer service and extensive experience within the transport industry.

      About you:

      • 5+ years of demonstrated experience working in a warehousing, transport and logistics environment.
      • Superior leadership and mentoring experience.
      • Strong business acumen with the ability to develop and manage effective budgets and conduct route-to-market planning, costings and negotiations with third parties.
      • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to confidently liaise with a variety of stakeholders.
      • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
      • Experience working with Quality Management Systems.
      • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills.
      • Sound computer skills, with the ability to learn and utilise a range of software packages.
      • Knowledge of the Export industry.
      • Sound knowledge of Melbourne, Adelaide and the broader country areas would be advantageous.
