Rail Site Surveillance Officer job availability

  • Currently seeking a Rail Site Surveillance Officer to work for a leader in the Rail and Transport Industry in Wyndham Vale for 6 months initially. You will be responsible for monitoring and reporting of all onsite activities across a broad range of projects.


    • Liaison with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
    • Proactive approach to management of emerging issues and provide clear options, solutions and recommendations to the project team to ensure safe and effective implementation of works.
    • Monitoring works and any reworks to ensure that they are constructed in accordance with agreed drawings, standards and specifications.
    • Coordinate and ensure site access is carried out in accordance with the relevant contract documentation and business procedures.
    • Maintain detailed daily site records of work performed and construction activities (including photographs) to ensure all works are carried out in accordance with the project quality system and contract documents.
    • Undertakes inspections, reviews and signs off.
    • Participate in the assessment of contract documentation to ensure it is accurate and robust.
    • Participate in design review and design workshops as a key member of the team.
    • Participate in scope development, scope reviews, tender documentation preparation and pre-planning activities.
    • Assist the project team in review and analysis of variation submissions.

    Skills & Experience

    • Qualifications (or equivalent level experience) in OH&S, Engineering, Construction or similar.
    • An engineering qualification and/or 10+ years in building/construction in a road and rail environment.
    • Experience in rail construction supervision and/or site surveillance specifically related to Track, Stations (or buildings) and OCS assets.
    • Experience in construction management with respect to safety, environment, quality & risk management.
    • Minimum 5 years' experience as a supervisor, within a greenfields or brownfields rail environment.
    • OH&S and Environmental supervisory level qualifications.
    • Level 3 safe working accreditation
