Qualifed Fitter

• Our client is a national producer of limestone for mining and construction industries & agriculture sectors of Australia. They are currently seeking experienced Qualified Fitters to join their team in Buchan to work Monday to Friday on Day shifts - flexible with a 7am or 8am start.

  The successful candidates will be responsible for carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance repairs to the plant and equipment, assisting with stock take and ensuring all checks and tests are carried out according to company standards.
  
  Some other tasks and duties will include the following:
  

  • Change bearings in machines and equipment
  • Conveyor Drive and tail drum repairs
  • Assembly work with hand tools & power tools
  • Motor & gearbox fitting/removing
  • Maintenance on fixed and mobile plant
  • Minor Welding Repairs
  • Troubleshooting and Configuration

  Skills/ Experience

  • Fitter and turner tickets required (must be able to provide)
  • Forklift licence is a bonus, but not essential
  • Mechanical minded
  • Welding experience
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Must have a strong knowledge of OHS procedures
  • Current Victorian Drivers license
