Project Manager - Rail job availability

  • Currently seeking a Project Manager to work for a leader in the Rail and Transport Industry on a 12 month contract initially, with possible extension.

    Responsibilities

    • Plan and manage allocated projects at all stages (development, initiation, design, tender, construction, delivery).
    • Ensure project plans are achieved within given timeframes and on budget.
    • Ensure that all required internal and external approvals and consultations are achieved in respect of managed projects (inclusive of all statutory permits and approvals).
    • Obtain sign off (safety, maintenance, and operational accreditation) where required in accordance with the Safety Management System.
    • Establish work packages and assign/delegate.
    • Identify and document operational risks and requirements.
    • Fully scope the works required (key requirements and costs).
    • Develop all required project plans (Operational, Quality, Project Management, Cost Control, OH&S, Environmental Management, Resource, Commissioning, Handover, Change Management and Accreditation plans).

    Skills & Experience

    • Tertiary qualifications in an engineering discipline and formal qualifications in project management at a vocational or tertiary education level are desirable.
    • Proven experience in the delivery of projects on behalf of the RTO is desirable.
    • 10 years Project Management experience is desirable.
