Project Manager Capital Works job availability

  • Our client is a global engineering company that designs and builds automated, intelligent solutions for manufacturing, warehousing and distribution environments.

    They are looking for a Victorian Project Manager to oversee the installation of their projects, managing teams of technicians, and reporting to stakeholders.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Responsible for coordinating the installation, commissioning and engineering activities on large-scale, complex warehouse/DC automation projects
    • Ensuring that the building, site services and processing equipment are installed and commissioned into full production to meet the client's specifications, within the contract schedule, budget and quality in a safe manner
    • Preparing and reviewing drawings and plans for mechanical and electrical installations
    • Proactively promoting innovation, improvement, risk identification and safety management covering Occupational Health, Safety and the Environment
    • Obtaining necessary materials and resources
    • Organising and supervising the inspection and maintenance of the installed equipment
    • Day to day management of sub-contractors
    • Coordinating regular inspection of works for quality assurance
    • Implement commissioning
    • Ensuring safe installation procedures

    You will have:

    • 5+ years of experience as a Site Supervisor/Manager installing large capital projects
    • Knowledge of material handling equipment would be an advantage
    • Engineering background with a history of hands on experience
