We are currently looking for experienced Project Engineers with relevant mining experience. The focus of this role will be pre-feasibility studies & early identification activities for new projects. Furthermore, the preparation of business cases will be a core activity.
This is a FIFO role on a 5:2/4:3 (days) roster.
About the Role
We have an opportunity for Project Engineers within the rail engineering team. Reporting to the Lead Project Engineer your responsibilities will include:
Plan, prepare, deliver & update pre-feasibility plans
Plan, prepare, deliver & update business cases
Provide input into project budgets, plans and schedules.
Manage the defined scope, budget, schedule, standards, and specifications in accordance with relevant processes.
Producing the specified key deliverables within projects in a timely manner to an appropriate quality.
Supporting the Project Engineer to manage project cost and schedule according to allocated budget, rectifying any variances and ensuring sufficient contingencies are in place to allow project success
Reporting on project in terms of budget, schedule, risks and issues to internal stakeholders on a monthly basis.

To be successful in this role you will possess:
A Tertiary qualification in Project Management or Engineering
Experience in managing electrical/mechanical projects in the mining or related industry is highly desirable
The ability to work autonomously with distinctive proficiency in executing Engineering Projects.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with and manage a variety of external consultants and internal stakeholders.
High motivation to succeed with the agility to adapt to varying project conditions and make carefully measured decisions whilst still complying with internal procedures and processes.
Ability to work under pressure - your projects may become critical path in a planned plant shutdown and the early project planning, direction and decisions you make will be key to ensure project success.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suites including Microsoft Project is desirable
Proficiency with Primevera P6 is desirable
Minimum of C class manual drivers licence
