Production Welder (MIG) job availability

    Our client is a market leader in the manufacture of steel reinforcing products for the construction, concreting, residential and commercial construction industries. They are based in the St Marys area.

    They have ongoing long term casual vacancies (38 hours per week) for 2nd class Production Welders who can read drawings and MIG weld on day (6:10am - 2:30pm) or afternoon (2:20pm - 10:40pm) shift.

    Duties will include
    Production MIG welding
    Assembling a variety of sized prefab cages (inner rings, cupplers, luggs, lifting points and double bars)
    General cleaning duties

    The day shift pay rate is $27.60 +25% casual loading = $34.50
    Afternoon shift = 15% shift loading

    Applicants must have previous mig welding experience and be able to read engineering drawings.

    Formal welding qualifications are preferred but not essential. Preference is given to applicants with experience in the steel manufacturing industry.

    Please note that this is welding in a repetitive factory production environment.

    Please note that manual handling and heavy lifting is involved in this role. All applicants must complete pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and a hearing test.

    Successful applicants must be able to provide original copies of their work rights in Australia such as a valid passport or birth certificate etc at interview stage. Applicants who cannot provide these documents will not be considered for this role.
