Outside Services Labourer

• Programmed Skilled Workforce are currently seeking All Round labouring staff for our client moving into their peak summer season. Previous experience in roles that were labour intensive, grounds and in outdoor environments will be advantageous when applying for these positions.
  
  

  Our Client is based on Rottnest Island and these roles will be working with the Island Ground Services Team. This is a live on the island position, with the option to return home on your rostered days off. You will be responsible for a variety of duties on the island across the peak period. The island operation team is a 7 day a week business so weekend and public holiday availability will be crucial.
  
  

  These roles are customer facing on the Island so previous customer service experience is highly sought after.
  
  
  This unique opportunity will have you completing the following task:

  • Luggage delivery and collection around the island to accommodation and the ferry dock
  • Proven HR/MR truck driving experience - duties will include driving of the luggage and rubbish trucks
  • Proven forklift experience - duties will include driving on the dock to move luggage and cargo crates
  • General event bump in and out
  • Basic ground keeping duties
  • Bush area clean up including tree and plant trimming

  Successful applicants will have:

  • Current MR or HR Licence and reliable vehicle for transport to and from ferry terminal
  • Current Worksafe Forklift Licence
  • Fire training highly desirable but not essential
  • Any other tickets and licence will be advantageous - Chainsaw, Weed spraying
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
  • Proven manual handling experience up to 20kg
  • Available to work across various shifts and days as require
  • Be able to provide two working references from the last 6 months
