PERSOLKELLY is one of Australia's leading professional, engineering and technical recruitment agencies, servicing clients nationally.
We have an opportunity for a Mine Engineer with a background in mine scheduling and planning for a role in the Pilbara. Working with a major national mining company, you will be in a strategic role to interpret and create the daily mine plan. You will also be giving input for the weekly and 3 monthly plans. By tracking the daily and weekly plans, you will be able to mitigate any constraints and optimise the sequences. A responsibility of this role will be conducting grade control inspections of the mine to give guidance to the production crew.
This opportunity will commence in February, on an 8:6 FIFO Roster to the Pilbara.
With a Degree in Mining or Civil Engineering, you must have demonstrated experience in an open cut mining environment. While not necessary, exposure to Grade Control is highly regarded. In addition to having experience in mine planning and scheduling, you will be competent using Microsoft Office and mining software (ideally Vulcan).
If you thrive in a changing environment and have the ability to prioritize tasks to complete workload, this role would be a good fit. Excellent communication skills will be necessary to contribute to the team's success and a safe working environment.
