    Our client based in Melbourne requires a professionally presented Manager Digital Workplace to join their IT end User Computing Services.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Leads and manages a team of System Administrators to develop, implement, operate and maintain End User Digital Technologies. Facilitates and provides input to the design/development process.

    • Partners with business and technology leaders in key areas.

    • Translate stakeholder business objectives and drivers to identify digital workspace opportunities and establish appropriate solutions that support the strategic objectives of the University and the IT Directorate.

    • Lead the development of tools and process to ensure that user expectations are met and that high customer satisfaction levels are achieved through established metrics against SLAs.

    • Lead effective needs analysis, customer service, and change and problem management and ensure Root Cause Analysis for issues.

    • Establish definition and implementation of virtual, physical and mobile digital workspace solutions. Develop and establish the digital workplace environment.

    • Develop insights and provide inputs in the development of a 3-year IT Digital Workspace roadmap. Determine, define and standardize the End User digital computing environment in terms of Hardware, Software and Process and provide input towards its roadmap.

    • Establish training content (webinar/documents/video) and facilitates online and onsite training for all deployed client solutions.

    • Manage third and fourth tier support escalation for deployed client solutions.

    • Lead the continuous improvement of digital IT workspace service improvements and offerings to end users via proactive measurement, evaluation and ideation.

    • Establishes and maintains a stakeholders and user centric culture. Proactively seeks and evaluates feedback on the service experience. Liaises with senior stakeholders to make strategic recommendations in the adoption and use of digital workspace technologies

    • Liaises with senior stakeholders to make strategic recommendations in the adoption,and innovative use of digital IT workspace technologies to improve business and teaching/learning processes,communication and collaboration.

    • Develops strategic proposals and programs of work that demonstrate a clear alignment to the University and the IT Directorate's strategic goals.

    • Provide expert consultancy to internal and external stakeholders and vendors to ensure the high quality and availably of IT services to the University community, as required to plan and deliver integrated services.

    To be successful in your application, you must possess the following:

    Qualifications, skills, knowledge and experience

    Knowledge or Training equivalent to:

    Postgraduate qualifications and relevant management experience; or

    Tertiary management/computing/engineering degree with proven IT expertise and supervisory experience;

    Project management certification in Prince2 or PMBOK.

    Proven and demonstrated experience of management skills in the management of stakeholders, technical people, services and project management.

    Proven visionary and demonstrate experience to innovate and develop vision for the digital workspace environment.

    Proven experience in developing continuous improvements in the provision of end user computing services.

    Technical skills:

    Proven experience in developing and maintaining a digital and managed Operating Environment for services, hardware and software including AV, Unified Communications and Office 365.

    Demonstrated experience in delivery and managing a large-scale end user computing services.

    Ability to demonstrate confidence in order to take risks, make timely and effective decisions and show confidence in own judgment and actions.

    Demonstrated problem solving and change management skills.
