Maintenance Fitter/Plant Fitter

• Programmed Skilled Workforce is currently sourcing an experienced Fixed Plant/Maintenance Fitter for work based in Wooroloo, WA. If successful for the role, applicant must be able to commence immediately.

  Aout your new role:

  • Undertake repairs, modifications and maintenance on food manufacturing plant (pig abattoir)
  • Identification of defective or worn components/equipment
  • Repair or replacement of worn and faulty components or equipment
  • Performing modifications and adjustments where required
  • Maintain and repair mechanical plant machinery and equipment to operational standards
  • Rotating hours of work; 5:30am-2pm & 7am-3:30pm
  • Primarily a Monday-Friday position with overtime where required

  About You:

  • Australian Recognized Engineering- Mechanical Trade Certificate (Cert III in Engineering or Equivalent)
  • Previous Maintenance Fitting experience in a Food Grade Plant is preferred
  • Experience replacing and fitting of gear boxes
  • Welding and Fabrication Experience
  • Current High Risk Work Forklift Licence
  • Current Working at Heights and Confined Space Licences
  • White Card
  • Contribute to a safe working environment
  • Right to Work in Australia
  • Current Australian Drivers' Licence and Reliable Vehicle
  • Able to pass a Comprehensive Pre-employment Medical and Drug and Alcohol Screen
