Logistics Specialist job availability

  • This client a Project Services organisation based in the South East suburbs requires a suitably qualified Logistics Specialist to join their team for a period of 6 months with the potential to go permanent.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing and co-ordinating the logistical functions of the project and for co-ordinating material within the supply chain including planning, reporting, acquisition, distribution and delivery.

    There will be a requirement to monitor the movement of goods, co-ordinate the order cycle, liaise and negotiate with warehouses, suppliers and customers and identify forecasting methodology and improvements for stock tracking. Managing inventory distribution at a national level is also required and material movements need to be reviewed to better understand the material requirements and allow for improved ordering and warehouse requirements.

    A Tertiary qualification in a logistics related field would be well regarded along with strong excel skills. Experience with JDE would be preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required along with the ability to problem solve and meet tight deadlines.
