Programmed Skilled Workforce are currently looking for reliable and enthusiastic freight handlers to work for Australia's premier airline at Sydney Airport.
Working in a busy and fast paced warehouse environment, you will need to have a strong belief in customer service. A current LF licence is preferred but not essential
Due to the nature of the business you will need to have a flexible availability, and be able to work any hours between 4am - 11pm Monday to Sunday. There may also be some requirements to work night shift. All applicants must complete a drug and alcohol test.
Applicants who are not available to start a shift at 4am will not be considered for this role.
Successful applicants will complete 1 weeks paid training. Once training is complete you will then be allocated shifts on the roster. These shifts are usually allocated a week in advance, with potential of extra shifts due to daily operational needs.
In order to be short listed for these roles, you must possess the following -
Skills & Attributes
* Intermediate knowledge of computers/ipads
* General warehouse awareness
* Safety conscious attitude
* An active team player
* Ability to prioritise tasks autonomously
Your duties will include:
* Use scanners & ipads to book in stock
* Operate Tugs/Trolleys - no licence required
* Handling various shapes/sizes of freight, with repetitive heavy lifting up to 20kgs involved
* Loading & unloading freight
* Breaking down and re packing pallets
A current NSW drivers licence is essential. P's will be acceptd.
These roles offer a great pay rate of $27 - $30 per hour (depending on shift start and finish times).
To be successful for these exciting opportunities, you will need to apply for and pay for an Australian federal police check. You will also need to apply for and pay for an Aviation Security Identification Card (blue ASIC) prior to employment. The total cost to you for the police check and blue ASIC is $127.00.
It is expected you will be rostered between 3-5 shifts per week with the strong possibility of being offered extra shifts during the week to cover any absenteeism or increase in work load.
