Business / Operational Analyst job availability

  • Our client a leading logistics company based in the Western suburbs of Melbourne are seeking a Business/Operational analyst for a 3 month assignment commencing immediately.

    Job purpose:

    The purpose of this role is to support both internal and external customers with all aspects of commercial activities primarily on business development for new and existing customers with a focus on cost control for the influence and interpretation of Profit and Loss statement.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Support key stakeholder in formulating and supplying financial information
    • Cost modelling and design for new business
    • Present and communicate effectively to customers supporting account managers and business development managers
    • Ownership of P&L,work with branches to understand major shifts in revenue and cost base
    • Adhoc quotes and costing
    • Weekly and monthly reporting of financial results

    To be successful for this role you will have:

    • A tertiary qualification in Accounting/Business
    • Ideally have experience in transport operations
    • Advanced Excel skills
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Explain complicated financial information to non-financial people
    • Excellent verbal and written skills
