Financial Accountant

• Our client requires a Financial Accountant for a six month contract with possible extension to assist the team to improving the balance sheet management and controls in areas such as stock accounting, customs and freight and intercompany accounting. The role will also provide technical accounting support to the team and assist with monthly reporting, reconciliation and statutory accounts preparation.

  On a typical day your duties and responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Improvement of business processes
  • Development of robust balance sheet management processes
  • Statutory accounts preparation
  • Preparation of monthly reconciliations and timely follow up and clearance of open items
  • Working with local business to implement process improvements
  • Liaise with the wider business to resolve queries and with local business units and the finance teams
  • Provide technical accounting support to the Transaction Accounting team

  To be considered, you will evidence:

  • CPA/CA qualifications
  • 4 - 5 years professional accounting experience
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Experience in handling technical issues
  • Good knowledge of SAP
  • Good communication skills
