    Luxury Island Resort is seeking a collaborative manager to lead their kitchen brigade.

    The hotel has multi-facet outlets, including an all-day dining restaurant, functions, pizzeria and a fine dining restaurant. The resort is seeking an experienced Executive Chef who can hit the floor running, continuing the division’s successful operational and financial management record, whilst maintaining culinary excellence and compliance to WHS and HACCP.

    How will you succeed in this role?

    Your goal as the incoming Executive Chef is to take the team to the next level through your outstanding leadership qualities. The team is strong, hardworking and need a collaborative leader who is there to support, share knowledge and coach the team with a vision of becoming the best culinary team and offer exclusive experience to the resort guests. At the core you will need a professional attitude and confidence in your abilities. However, understand that people are human, and they have to enjoy what they do. In this position you will lead from the back, with a hands-on approach and a positive and inspiring disposition, a leader who the team aspires to.

    Key Criteria

    • Experience as an Executive Chef in a multi facet 4 / 5 star environment
    • Solid and stable professional history, including management of kitchen brigade of 40+
    • Proven skills in financial kitchen management
    • Intermediate computer skills, including Excel, Word, inventory and POS Systems
    • Knowledge of international cuisines and culinary techniques
    • In depth experience with menu planning, costing and design
    • In depth understanding of WHS, HACCP and FWA compliance
    • Collaborative leadership qualities with a friendly and considerate disposition coupled with a genuine interest in assisting people to succeed
    • High level of communication skills, ensuring a harmonious work environment with all staff, management and every department
    • Proven record of training, mentoring and coaching (TAA qualifications would be highly regarded)
