Engineering - Drafting Traineeship job availability

  • PROGRAMMED Training Services specialise in the employment of Apprentices and Trainees with our clients and the design and delivery of nationally accredited training.

    Under our Indigenous Workforce Services program, we are seeking applications from candidates of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent who have a desire to gain a nationally recognised qualification - Certificate III Engineering - Technical. The Traineeship is within a busy environment so if you possess the 'Can Do' attitude, have a strong work ethic and would like to learn and earn then this Traineeship could be for you.


    During the Traineeship you will gain skills and knowledge in Engineering/Drafting. Duties and key responsibilities may include:


    * Prepare basic technical designs drafting tasks and drawings under the guidance of a more senior Drafter
    * Prepare basic calculations for drafting, drawings and design
    * Using knowledge and skills learnt on the job to prepare basic drawings or sections of drawings
    * Maintain drawing filing systems, including the electronic filing and scanning system
    * Develop skills, knowledge and understanding of CADD functions to basic level
    * Using knowledge and skills learnt on the job to problem solve

    Note: There may a minimum amount of manual handling in this role

    * Driver's license and reliable transport desired but not mandatory
    * Ability to maintain confidentiality
    * Experience in Data entry with a keen eye for detail

    The position is located in Brisbane CBD therefore you will need to reside in Brisbane or surrounding area.
