Electrician / Instrumentation Technician job availability

  • PROGRAMMED Skilled Workforce are urgently seeking qualified Electricians who will be responsible for the safe, reliable and efficient operational performance and maintenance of this important asset. You will also be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of maintenance plans. The scope of work involves 12-hour shifts with an industry leading Iron Ore company based in the Pilbara on a 2/1 roster FIFO from Perth.

    Duties will include:
    * Carry out daily rounds and plant inspections to ensure safe operation
    * Carry out planned and routine maintenance activities on a broad range of electrical and instrumentation equipment
    * Operate the gas turbines and other associated plant from the onsite control room
    * Diagnosing and fault finding on dual fuel turbines, balance of plant equipment, high voltage distribution equipment and switch gear.
    * Work closely with other mechanical and electrical technicians and external contractors
    * High quality safety and continuous improvement practices
    * Use in SAP to raise notifications, close out work orders, time confirmations and cause codes

    Qualifications and Skills required:
    * Trade Certificate with suitable experience
    * Cert IV in Instrumentation with relevant experience
    * Hazardous areas training and qualifications
    * High Voltage Switching Certificate and relevant experience (desirable)
    * Supervised Gas fitter qualification (desirable)
    * Previous experience in power generation, GE LM6000 or Solar Titian 130 Turbines preferably
    * EWP, working at heights and confined space training (desirable)
    * Experience with all aspects of power station and or processing plant maintenance and fault finding i.e. instrumentation, PLC, Profi Bus, Control system operation
    * Experience in computer based maintenance systems - SAP (desirable)
