Electrician job availability

  • Programmed Skilled Workforce is a leading provider of managed workforce and training services.
    Our client is a NSW State owned rail transport company that currently have a large project to upgrade the Tangara train fleet that services NSW largest metropolitan rail network. We have an opportunity for licenced electrician to join this exciting project on an ongoing casual basis. You will be working in a large team to upgrade these trains with the latest technologically advanced mechanical and electrical equipment.
    Currently the project is running on day shift. As the project progresses you may be required to work afternoon shifts.

    About your new role:
    Complete electrical and mechanical retrofit of the Tangara fleet of passenger trains in a workshop environment
    Working with fine tolerances
    Ability to work in confined spaces within the rail cars
    Manual handling and some heavy lifting involved
    If offered the role you will be engaged on a ongoing casual basis to work 6am-2.30pm Monday to Friday. This is a 40 hour week paid as 38 hours @ ordinary time and 2 hours @ time ½.

    About you:
    Must have current NSW Electrical Licence and /or Cert III Electrotechnology Certificate of Proficiency
    MTA RIW card (Rail Industry Worker) with current RISI and current Cat. 3 medical is essential.
    Attention to detail and delivering quality work


    Experience in the rail industry on trains and rolling stock, or the auto electrical industry preferred.


    Must have full Australian work rights such as passport, birth certificate, citizenship etc and be able to provide two most recent contactable work references
