    The Organisation:

    The Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR) is a charitable foundation, built on partnerships between philanthropy, community, government and business. Their mission is to champion the economic and social strength of Australia’s regional, rural and remote communities through partnerships with the private sector, philanthropy and governments.

    This is an exciting time for FRRR having recently finalised a new five-year strategic plan and commenced a new investment strategy to assist with securing future funding. Recent bushfires have also led to a substantial increase in financial donations.

    The Position:

    Reporting to the CEO, the Corporate Services Manager is responsible for overseeing, leading and managing the business operations including the Finance, Human Resource and IT functions of FRRR, to support the execution of our mission to champion the economic and social strength of Australia’s regional, rural and remote communities.

    This is a hands-on role and the key tasks and responsibilities include:

    • Oversee all activities of the Corporate Services functions (across Accounting and Finance, Information Systems; Governance, Risk and Compliance; and, Human Resources and, Health and Safety).
    • Prepare, monitor and manage budgets, funding and financing activity, including reporting on investment portfolios and lead the annual operating budget preparation process.
    • Develop, implement, monitor and review corporate plans, operating policies & procedures.
    • Provide Company Secretary support including management of the compliance register, Board minute-taking, and coordination of the Board meeting schedule including the AGM.
    • Provide tailored reports, advice and guidance to the CEO, the Board, Finance Committee and staff on all functions within the Corporate Services department.

    The Ideal Person:

    We are seeking a team player who can bring experience and energy to a dynamic organisation undergoing a period of growth and maturity. The ideal person will possess the following skills and experience but will also have a strong learning mindset and desire to stretch into new areas of professional growth.

    • Qualifications including tertiary level accounting, business or commerce and CA/CPA are required. Post graduate qualification and experience in business administration will also be highly regarded.
    • Extensive experience in a senior financial management position demonstrating organisational-wide financial compliance and performance.
    • Highly developed report writing and presentation skills. Demonstrated experience presenting and reporting to a Board of Directors is highly desirable.
    • Extensive experience in developing organisational policies and procedures.
    • Evidence of highly developed interpersonal, communication, negotiation and consultative skills.
    • Experience in leading positive cultural change and staff development.
