This client, a local council based in the Inner South East suburbs of Melbourne, requires a Corporate Facilities Officer to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.
Reporting into the Team Leader of Corporate Facilities, you will be required to manage the overall bookings, maintenance, catering and occasional event management for halls and venues across the municipality (22 sites). Duties will include undertaking a sales role in the booking of venues, assisting in set-up and pack down of meeting rooms and venues (sometimes after hours and weekends/public holidays would be required), overseeing maintenance and presentation of all areas, whilst performing administrative functions including raising requisitions for expenditure, report writing and collating spreadsheets on supplier liaison, quotes, deliveries etc.
To secure this role, strong verbal and written communication skills are required to liaise with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, you will demonstrate excellent time management and MS Office skills, whilst displaying your ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team. A practical approach is required, there will be some heavy lifting and physical movement involved on a regular basis. Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team is key to success in this role.
Experience in a similar role in administration and operations is required. Pathway booking system experience would be well regarded. Experience with audio and visual systems and equipment is preferred.
