CNC Machinist job availability

  • Programmed Skilled Workforce is a leading provider of managed workforce and training services.

    Our client is a world leading manufacturer and distributor of pneumatics and control technology based in Castle Hill.
    We are currently recruiting a full time permanent role for a trade qualified CNC Machinist who can set, operate and programme Mazak and Okuma CNC machines. This is a job production environment with one-off production and custom work rather than the manufacture of mass-market products.

    * This is a full time permanent role with an immediate start
    * The hourly pay rate is $33-34 (negotiable dependant on skills and experience) based on a 38 hour week. Overtime may be offered during busy periods.
    * The daily start time is flexible any time between 4am-7am ie can start work at 4am, 5am, 6am or 7am

    Job description:
    * The main duties of the role will be the setting, operation, adjustment and programming of Mazak and Okuma CNC machines to produce quality company products
    * Use of a variety of tools and measuring equipment
    * Will be required to meet daily production targets
    * Ensure the finished product meets quality standards
    * Mechanical fault finding to ensure machines are running at full capacity
    * Cleaning of work area

    About you:
    * The successful applicant must be a highly skilled tradesperson with a proven mechanical background and strong attention to detail. Must be able to complete one-off production and custom work rather than mass-market work.
    * Must be able to read and understand technical drawings, component specifications and quality document.
    * Must have technical skills to understand CAD/CAM software.
    * A CNC Machinist trade qualification (or similar) is essential.
