This client, a local council based in the Inner Suburbs is seeking a suitably qualified Building Maintenance Officer from Mid-January until late March, possibly longer.
The successful candidate will be responsible for following up on, and completing building maintenace tasks for council in a timely manner, and will liaise effectively with subcontractors and trades as required. Strong numeracy and IT literacy are required as well as statistical and financial acumen to manage reports and information. The ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal and the ability to liaise effectively with people from different backgrounds is essential.
The role requires an individual with energy, drive and solid initiative with the capability of working autonomously or as part of a team. A Trade or technical background ( electrician, plumber or similar) is required along with contract management experience in a busy service based facilities maintenance space.
