About the company:
Our client is a leading independent fuel and convenience retailer with 31 service stations located across regional Victoria and New South Wales. Based in their head office, they are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant to join their team to play a pivotal role in the company’s on-going success.
About the role:
This is a newly created position which will provide direct support to the senior in-house accountant; with duties including but not limited to:
- Assist in the preparation of journal entries and sales reports with the accountant.
- Process the daily sales imports from the Point-of-Sale (POS) package.
- Monitor, investigate and follow up any variances with the relevant sites to ensure correct information is recorded.
- Process accounts receivable invoicing and reconciliations.
- Complete bank, petty cash and card reconciliations.
- Answer incoming calls and direct calls to the necessary staff member for action.
- Support the AP Officer, AR Officer and administration staff as required.
- An information source for Store Manager’s to contact with issues relating to administrative processes
About you:
We are looking for a fun, dynamic, team player to join the finance team. You must contain the following attributes:
- Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping or substantial industry experience.
- The ability to multi-task and assist other areas of the business as required.
- Strong computer literacy, with well-developed Microsoft Excel skills.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and time management skills.
- Experience using SAP (accounting package) is advantageous but not essential.
