WINK Models meet the OneShift team

Monday 6 July, 2015

Taryn Williams, Founder of online modelling network WINK Models, graced OneShift HQ on Friday afternoon to share her success story of becoming Founder, Agent and young entrepreneur of the start-up company.

This show-stopping businesswoman has led a very colourful career path in her journey to creating her leading modelling agency. She began as a model aged 15, had a stint as a photographic advertising producer and eventually dove into the world of entrepreneurship.

Frustrated with the poor working conditions that often existed for modeling talent, Taryn wanted to create a positive change in the industry, which drove her towards the creation of WINK Models.

Today WINK connects talented and professional models to a range of advertising campaign roles, photo shoots, print catalogues, product launches, television and promotional work. It has continued to expand and has since launched WINK Youth which focuses on modeling roles for 13 to 17 year olds. Since launching, WINK Youth has secured campaigns for prestigious brands including Toyota, Qantas and Girlfriend magazine.

Us OneShift-ers were enlightened with stories of healthy eating habits to the challenges of hiring and firing, a Friday afternoon treat to say the least! Taryn was joined by Wink Models members Sandra Hudson (General Manager) and Lucy Horton.

Taryn mentioned the importance of WINK’s values and how these reflect the roles and agencies they work with. WINK makes a point of vetting all modelling agencies that want to work with Wink Models to ensure these are legitimate, professional companies with the right and relevant values. She also stressed the importance of culture fit in the agency.

Culture is an incredibly important aspect in any company, no matter what size, so it’s important companies get it right. As with WINK, here at OneShift we have a strong, unique culture, that is constantly praised by us OneShift-ers. And guess what…WE ARE HIRING! Find out more at
