Week In The Life of OneShift - Thursday

A Week In The Life Of OneShift

The four-day working week is slowly but surely coming to a close!

Today we chat with Ilaria, a little Italian living in North Sydney! She absolutely loves the Australian sun & has a huge passion for dance. We are pleased to meet you Ilaria!

Why have you moved to Australia from Italy?

I moved to Australia together with my partner from Italy after having finished my degree in fashion at university! I wanted to see another part of the world and experience a new life. To be honest, one of the reasons we chose Australia was because it's easier to get a visa than other places like the US. Plus I'd been told that here it's always summer :)

What are you planning to do today?

The plan so far is to head to Manly beach to get some tan (hopefully!), eating some nice and healthy salad, spending the day with my man! On the way back I'll go to the Sydney Dance Company which is holding open classes to have some fun, keep fit and enjoy the thing I love most: dancing!

What’s the most interesting fact about you?

I'm the 3 S’s girl: Small (1.55m. And I've never felt smaller than now: Australians are soooo tall!); Sunny (life is beautiful and I always see the positive side of things); Smiling. Plus they say I look like Tinker Bell...and I worked at Disneyland Paris as Peter Pan's little fairy :)

A Week In The Life of OneShift: Paris Disneyland

What’s your favourite Sydney spot?

I love walking back home after work on the wooden path under Luna Park in Milsons Point: you can enjoy the best view of Sydney, everything included (Harbour bridge, Opera house, skyline, Luna Park etc)...for free!

What’s on the top of your travel bucket list?

Well…I have a long list of places I'd love to visit.. Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls, Great Barrier Reef and Iceland to see how breathtaking the nature can be. And the Egyptian Pyramids, the Norwegian Atlantic Road and the Chinese Great Wall to see how sometimes human creations can change the world to make it a better (or not!) place!

If money didn’t matter and you could have any job in the world, what would be your dream job?

I'd love to be a dancer for the rest of my life. Dance makes me happy and it makes me forget there's a world out of the room.
