She did it!
We are proud to announce that CEO of the OneShift family, Gen George, has been announced as one of just six finalists in the 2015 Telstra Young Business Women’s Award!
The NSW Telstra Business Women’s Awards, now in its 21st year, cherrypicks the leading female business bods across NSW (just 28 in total) into various categories including 'Government and Academia' and 'Startup Entrepreneur'.
Five other finalists are in the running with Gen, and the tough competition includes Sarah Beckwith (CEO at Doctus), Felicity Beutler (CEO at Sugar Bee Cakes), Georgina Prior (CEO at Wake Up Foundation), Kath Purkis (CEO at Her Fashion Box) and Lindsay Rogers (CEO at Chello).
Ambassador and Chief Operations Officer of the Telstra Business Women’s Awards, Kate McKenzie, said, "These awards not only celebrate women who have the courage to start their own business and lead their industries, but also offer them a platform to encourage others to challenge the status quo and think differently. The 2015 New South Wales finalists join a long list of successful business women, whose unique and innovative approaches to leadership at state and local community levels, and in some cases, globally, continue to impress and inspire the Awards judges.”
General Manager of Business & Private Banking and Women in Focus and CommBank, Vanessa Nolan-Woods, said, “This is exactly the mandate of Women in Focus – to support women to succeed across diverse industries and become positive role models for other women through connection and collaboration. Women in Focus is proud to support these awards and play a proactive part in encouraging future trailblazers.”
