Flexibility, the future way of working

Thursday 21 May, 2015

A new age, a new way of working. The 9-5 is not the only ‘way to make a living’ as Dolly Parton so eloquently put it. Employers continue to lean towards flexible working hours for staff, and studies have shown it has benefits for both parties.

Cisco’s ‘2014 Connected World Technology Report’ confirmed that workers value flexibility over almost anything else. Those surveyed pointed out that, after salary, flexibility was the second most important factor they would consider when evaluating a job offer. Flexibility is the future towards a work-life balance!

By 2025 three quarters of the global workforce will be Millenials (those reaching adulthood around the year 2000). According to Jeanne Meister, author of ‘The 2020 Workplace’, many Millenials expressed to her that they ‘expect work and life to completely blend together in today’s 24/7 world’.

And this ‘work-life balance’ is the motto of jobseekers website OneShift - an online job network which matches employees with employers. It’s the modern way for jobseekers to find the job that is right for them, and likewise for employers. OneShift caters to candidates and employees needs and helps candidates in the hunt for finding their perfect way of ‘making a living’, which is not always the 9-5. With almost 35,000 employers looking for candidates via OneShift it’s no wonder that 420,000 candidates have signed up. Join OneShift today at https://au.oneshiftjobs.com
