Part time work, full time life. That’s what it’s all about.
Welcome to Part 2 of the Best Part Time Jobs! If the last 5 jobs didn’t strike your fancy, hopefully you’ll have more luck with this round. Don’t be limited to my options either, there are endless opportunities out there to take part in! Something to suit everyone’s passions and needs, so get searching!
6. Library Assistant
If you are a book lover & enjoy quiet environments – look no further! Library assistants help with the day-to-day managing of the library. No qualifications required, and chances are there is a library in your town (if you don’t already know where it is, the job might not be for you)!
Here, there and everywhere. Cleaning jobs! You could be working in hotels, residential areas, farms, offices, outdoors or indoors. Take your pick!
There are a few different options when it comes to bartending. If you are a bit of a night owl, you could work in clubs where you will be wrapping up work in the wee hours of the morning. Some venues have a pecking order – if you want the day shifts you will have to do your time first by taking the night shifts. However, the bars and pubs that are a bit out of town that close earlier will be able to offer more reasonable shifts during light hours.
If you fancy doing heavy weights at the gym, this might be the job for you! Bars & clubs are always on the look out for burly men to guard their door. While you may have to spend many hours standing in the one spot, you will also be involved in some Saturday night drama from time to time! If you’re willing to take the risk and earn some money on the side, consider part time work as a security guard.
Part time sales assistants can be a great option if you’re looking for flexibility, reasonable hours and…discounts. Plus there is always room to move up the ladder or even outwards (to different store locations).
I hope this has been helpful for those that are looking to expand their horizons or just don't know where to begin looking! There is always something out there for everyone, it's just a matter of where you look. If you need any advice, feel free to reach out to me via our Facebook page: OneShiftJobs. I'd be happy to help!
